Operating Schedule, Weather & Raincheck Info
Our 2025 operating calendar will be available in the coming weeks! Our schedule may vary each year based on school calendar changes.
Hours are weather permitting. Hours, dates, attractions and prices are subject to change without notice.
Please call 303-427-7873 (SURF) for up-to-date information regarding inclement weather and park operating status.
Review our “Know Before You Go” for important information regarding your visit, including advanced ticket purchase, permitted cooler sizes, keeping your ice bagged, permitted items and more.
What attractions may be closed or on a delayed opening today?
Closed until Memorial Day weekend 2025. We open on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
What are “Back to Pool Days”?
“Back to Pool Days” take place August 11-15, 2025, and offer limited attractions with fewer guests in the park. These special days allow us to provide a great experience for our guests while many of our team members return to school.
A limited number of tickets are available each day and can only be purchased online, so get them while you can!
For this year’s Back to Pool Days, the following attractions are projected to be open: Alpine Springs Area (Mile High Flyer, Sunset Racer, The Peaks, Little Bear Pond, Minnow Creek, Fox Tail, Roaring Forks, and Centennial Basin), The Wild Isle (Revolution, Zoomerang, and the Lazy River), and our Thunder Bay Wave Pool.
We will have Cabanas available at our Basecamp and Bayview locations with no service. Our BayBungalows will also be available with no service.
Lockers will be available at our Alpine Springs and Thunder Bay locations.
Our Tube Valet Service and Personal Tube Rental Service will not operate on these days.
Are there days when Water World will not open due to weather?
Yes. We are an outdoor park with all water attractions, and there may be days when we do not open for guest comfort and safety.
These decisions are typically made by 9am and the website is updated accordingly. You may also call 303-427-7873 (SURF).
We consider the temperature at park opening, forecasted high temperatures, cloud cover, wind, and precipitation.
What happens if it rains during my visit to the park?
We will close attractions when unsafe conditions are present and, if possible, will re-open when weather conditions are safe to do so in our immediate area. Weather conditions are monitored by Water World Management in conjunction with a professional weather service.
If attractions are closed for more than 60 minutes due to unsafe weather conditions, guests in the park will receive a full-day or mid-day raincheck ticket, valid for the current or following season. Mid-day tickets are issued for closures after 1:45pm and are valid for entry at 1:45pm on a different day.
To receive your raincheck ticket, you must present your ticket or birthday wristband at the Ticketing Services booths before leaving the park. Cabana guests will receive rainchecks from their cabana host.
No refunds are issued regardless of time spent in the park. There are no refunds or rainchecks on incidental expenses such as Personal Tube Rental, Tube Valet, etc.
Certain tickets, such as Tots and any ticket marked “no raincheck issued on this ticket” are not valid for rainchecks.
I received a mid-day raincheck during a previous visit, can I upgrade it to a full-day ticket?
Yes. To upgrade your mid-day raincheck to a full-day ticket, visit our Ticketing Services booths. The cost to upgrade to a full-day ticket is $25.99 + tax for the 2025 season.
I have an Early Entry Enabled Ticket. How does that work?
