How Does Scheduling Work?
-
- We pride ourselves on offer’s summer’s most flexible job scheduling! Having a summer job doesn’t mean you can’t also enjoy some downtime and fun activities!
- Our team members input their availability no later than Sunday evening for next scheduling period (which is for the week after). You may also enter your known scheduling requests well in advance (for example, a vacation). It’s important that our team members plan in advance so we can help create an amazing schedule for you!
- The park is typically open from 10am to either 5pm or 6pm (depending on the day) and we occasionally have events that may run later. The bulk of our team members work various shifts starting at 9am or after and ending no later than 7pm (with many shift options in-between).
- Team Members enter times that they are unable to work due for a specific reason (for example a dentist appointment or sports practice that is from 9am to Noon) or an entire day off (for example going to the mountains).
- Our scheduling team will review all requests and can typically approve most requests. Keep in mind that you will automatically received scheduled days off during the week. Vacation times, up to 2 weeks total in duration are typically approved. You must work the minimum number of shifts per week for your team.
- When we reach the end of the season, we can typically work around most sports and activities. When most schools resume in the fall, Water World is open weekends only.
- Once you are scheduled for a shift, you’re expected to be here as scheduled. Should something change last minute, you may use our Shift Swap Board and Shift Pickup Board online to see if someone is available to pickup your shift. Many team members are able to cover last-minute changes using the Swap and Pickup Boards.
- If you have scheduling questions, please ask your team interviewer!
