General Restrictions
- Picnic lunches are welcome, but alcoholic beverages, glass containers, and metal utensils of any kind are not permitted.
- Only plastic utensils are allowed inside the park.
- Glass containers may include, but are not limited to, cologne bottles, perfume bottles. baby bottles, vapes, and other various containers.
- For your safety, personal shade structures like tents, canopies, and umbrellas are not permitted inside the park.
- Umbrellas must be personal compact, non-pointed tip, umbrellas. They also must not exceed 54 inches in diameter.
- Coolers are welcome, but for your safety, cooler sizes are limited. See our “Know Before You Go” page for complete details!
- Snorkels, guest provided tubes or floats, and water toys are not permitted for use in any attraction.
- Any guest who violates park rules may be subject to removal from the premises.
- All guests and their belongings are subject to search upon entering the park and at any time throughout their visit.
- Any items not allowed into the park must be discarded or returned to your vehicle before entry. We do not store or hold any prohibited items for later pickup.
- Firearms, ammunition, knives, and weapons of any kind are not permitted into the park.
- Pets are not allowed with the exception of service animals. Please see our service animals page for more information!
Healthy Swimming
Without your help, even properly treated pool water can spread germs. 1) Stay out of the water if you have diarrhea. 2) Shower before you get in the water. 3) Don’t pee or poop in the water. 4) Don’t swallow the pool water. 5) Parents-take take kids on bathroom breaks frequently! 6) Check diapers and change them in a bathroom or diaper-changing area!
If you have diarrhea on the day of your visit, please stop by Guest Services before entering the park. We’ll be happy to help you plan a visit for another day!
Rain Checks
We will close our attractions when unsafe conditions are present (as determined by Management in conjunction with our weather service). In the event of a weather interruption, we will attempt to re-open when weather conditions in our immediate area are safe to do so (we cannot guarantee ideal weather conditions).
In the event we cannot re-open our attractions, guests on-property receive a full or mid-day ticket for a return visit for the current season or next, depending on the time of weather event). No refunds are issued regardless of time spent in the park. There are no refunds or rain checks on incidental expenses (such as Personal Tube Rental, Tube Valet, etc).
Height Requirements & Weight Advisory
Some of our attractions have height requirements for the safety of the guest. Please check signage and height markers at each attraction (heights must be checked without footwear). You may also check out our web site for the height requirement each attraction. Approximately 70% of our attractions may be enjoyed by guests of any height (based comfort level)! Guests should always observe the attraction before choosing to ride. Guests who are pregnant or have physical ailments should consult their medical provider before riding. Guests over 250lbs. may experience abnormal exposure to discomfort or injury.
Select attractions have specific weight guidelines and for your safety, guests will be weighed by group prior to boarding. These attractions include Mile High Flyer, Centennial Basin and Roaring Forks.
Smoking
Water World is a smoke-free environment and smoking or vaping is permitted in designated areas only. Designated smoking locations are located inside the park near The Lodge (at the Alpine Springs), near the entry to Voyage to the Center of the Earth (by Thunder Bay), near the top of Tortuga Run (at Calypso Cove) and directly outside of our entry plaza. For the location outside our entry plaza, guests will need to present today’s ticket stub and obtain a re-entry hand stamp at the designated turnstile.
Marijuana is not permitted inside the park this includes medicinal and recreational.
Water World does hereby prohibit the possession, consumption, use, display, transfer, distribution, sale, transportation, or growing of marijuana on or in any and all real property and facilities which it owns or operates.
Use of Go Pro Cameras, Selfie Sticks and other Guest Provided Technologies
For guest safety, “Go Pro” or similar camera devices must be firmly secured with a chest harness only (not permitted on mat racer attractions). Selfie sticks are not permitted on any ride or attraction. Use of any photo or video device in restroom or changing areas is prohibited. Any inappropriate use of technology, as determined by management is prohibited. Drones are not permitted on Water World property.
Ticket Purchase Warning
NEVER purchase tickets from Craigslist, street vendors or any unauthorized source. If a ticket price or offer seems to good to be true, it probably is and that ticket likely won’t work for park entry.
Please note that unauthorized or unlawful resale or attempted resale of any ticket will result in seizure and cancellation without compensation. If you purchase a ticket from an unauthorized source, that ticket will not be honored nor will any refunds or compensation be provided to you. If using a Print at Home ticket, you may be required to present the credit card used for the purchase at the entry turnstiles, at the sole discrection of Water World Management. Personal Shade Structures
For your safety, personal shade structures like tents, canopies, and umbrellas are not permitted inside the park. For your convenience, shelters and shady areas are located throughout the park. We also offer private rental cabanas and bungalows.

Swim Diapers
Swim diapers are required for toddlers who are diaper dependent. Swim diapers are available for purchase at our Gift Shop for a minimal fee.
Life Vests
Puddle Jumper life vests (as well as adult and larger sized life jackets) are available for use at most Tube Exchange and Guest Service locations at no charge. You may bring in your own lifejacket, only if it is U.S. Coast Guard approved. Other personal flotation devices, such as children’s water wings, are not allowed in any of the attractions.
Lost Parents
Water World is a big place, so it is important that parents designate a meeting place for family members. If a parent becomes lost from their child, stop by any Guest Service location or contact any uniformed team member.
First Aid
First aid stations are located in each major section of the park. Please consult any park staff member or our park map for first aid locations.
