How Does Scheduling Work?2022-04-27T15:15:28-07:00
    • We pride ourselves on offer’s summer’s most flexible job scheduling!  Having a summer job doesn’t mean you can’t also enjoy some downtime and fun activities!

      • Our team members input their availability no later than Sunday evening for next scheduling period (which is for the week after). You may also enter your known scheduling requests well in advance (for example, a vacation).  It’s important that our team members plan in advance so we can help create an amazing schedule for you!
      • The park is typically open from 10am to either 5pm or 6pm (depending on the day) and we occasionally have events that may run later.  The bulk of our team members work various shifts starting at 9am or after and ending no later than 7pm (with many shift options in-between).
      • Team Members enter times that they are unable to work due for a specific reason (for example a dentist appointment or sports practice that is from 9am to Noon) or an entire day off (for example going to the mountains).
      • Our scheduling team will review all requests and can typically approve most requests.  Keep in mind that you will automatically received scheduled days off during the week.  Vacation times, up to 2 weeks total in duration are typically approved.  You must work the minimum number of shifts per week for your team.
      • When we reach the end of the season, we can typically work around most sports and activities.  When most schools resume in the fall, Water World is open weekends only.
      • Once you are scheduled for a shift, you’re expected to be here as scheduled.  Should something change last minute, you may use our Shift Swap Board and Shift Pickup Board online to see if someone is available to pickup your shift.  Many team members are able to cover last-minute changes using the Swap and Pickup Boards.
      • If you have scheduling questions, please ask your team interviewer!
What are your core values?2022-04-27T15:12:43-07:00
    • We focus on providing Summer’s Best Memories for both our guests and team members through:
      • Safety
      • Kindness
      • Efficiency
      • Cleanliness
I’ve been selected for an interview, what do I need to know?2022-04-27T15:13:29-07:00
    • You do not need to bring anything to your interview.  We do, however suggest you bring energy and personality to your interview and show us how you can provide outstanding guest service!
    • Interviews, for most team positions, are approximately 15-30 minutes in length.
    • Some interviews are group bases and other are individual.
Can I apply for more than one job at a time?2022-04-27T15:11:58-07:00
    • We strongly recommend applying for only one team position at a time. If you are interested in multiple positions, please let your interviewer know what other positions  you have an interest in.
    • Please create only one application profile (e-mail address).
    • Applying for more than one position at a time or creating multiple application profiles/e-mails may cause your application to not be fully reviewed.
Do I need certifications prior to being hired?2022-04-27T15:12:23-07:00
    • Lifeguards:  We train all of our lifeguard team here on site at Water World and you will receive your certification before park opening.  If you have a valid Ellis and Associates ILTP License, you may contact your Team Manager to transfer your license to Water World.    Lifeguard physical requirements and training costs are noted in the application.
    • Bartenders:  We provide TiPS training at no cost to you, prior to park opening.
    • Food Service Leadership:  ServSafe classes will be provided to you at no cost prior to park opening.
When will I hear about an interview or Job Offer?2022-04-27T15:14:00-07:00
    • Applicants with completed applications are typically contacted within 2 weeks of the application date for an interview (often times before).

      • Interviews will be held in-person for most teams, however, virtual interviews can be held in some cases (let you team know your preference).
    • We will reach out to you for both interview requests and job offers through e-mail.
      • Watch for e-mails from Paycom (our application processing system), Hyland Hills (the parent organization for Water World) and Water World in your junk or SPAM folders.
      • Please check frequently!
    • If you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application date or two weeks after your interview, please contact us.
Do you offer carpool scheduling? Parking?2022-04-27T15:14:22-07:00
    • Carpooling-please speak with your team leader during your job interview for specifics.  We can accommodate a limited carpool schedule between two team members (team members must self arrange with other team members who have similiar scheduling/availability).
    • Water World is close to an RTD bus stop.
    • We offer plenty of team member parking and bike racks here at the park.
If I’m hired on the team, when do I start working?2022-04-27T15:14:46-07:00
    • The park opens Memorial Day Weekend (towards the end of May).  It depends on your position but training starts anywhere from mid-April to Mid-May.
    • Some of your training will be done online, at Water World University (this includes getting to know our park and your team, team guidelines, Water World 101, your Autism Awareness Training [Water World is Colorado’s FIRST Certified Autism Center], and more).
    • Some of your training will be here in person, at the park, including park tours, Team Member basics, practicing the specifics of your job, team specific training and more!
